Sysmex Partec solves this problem for you – quickly, safely and cost-effectively.
The long incubation time of agar plates means that the analysis results of microbiological quality control are not available until a few days later. As a result, end products either have to be stored for a long time until a batch release can take place, or you as the manufacturer run the risk of putting microbiologically contaminated products into circulation. Product recalls and, in the worst case, the delivery of contaminated products to the customer can be the result. This dilemma means that you either have to accept high storage costs or risk the loss of image and the costs of a recall.
Also, incoming goods and in-process controls, which can only be carried out with rapid detection methods, are not meaningfully possible with this lengthy procedure.
The flow cytometric analysis of cosmetic samples after pre-enrichment and staining using the CyStain™ VitalCount Cosmetics Kit enables a result-based decision regarding a microbiological contamination of the products after just one day, which drastically reduces the storage costs per product and the risk of product recalls.
Immediately after the 24-hour pre-enrichment, a sample analysis for microbiological enumeration can be carried out using the CyStain™ VitalCount Comestic Kit in combination with a Sysmex Partec flow cytometer. The 48 to 72-hour incubation on agar is eliminated. The automated result evaluation and reporting leads to objective and clear results - ideal for your routine analyses.
The CyStain™ VitalCount Cosmetics Kit is the ideal solution to ensure consistent quality in your cosmetic production. The fast and reliable microbiological quality control, consisting of the CyStain™ Vital Count Cosmetics Kit and a Sysmex Partec flow cytometer, such as the CyFlow™ RI-300 Flow Cytometer, allows both raw materials to be tested and in-process and end product controls to be carried out. These investigations can be supplemented by the microbiological analysis of the total and viable cell count of your production and process water using the CyStain™ BacCount Kits.
Contamination can lead to product changes in color, odor or consistency – and classic tests often take days.
Our solutions detect problems early, reduce waiting times and minimize errors through automated reports.
