Water for production must be free of microbiological contamination to prevent contamination of products with harmful microorganisms, to exclude health risks for the consumer and to guarantee the highest quality of the end products.
Unnoticed microbiological contamination of production water can lead to contamination of the end product with microorganisms. This can reduce the quality of a product (odor, color, taste) and/or pose a health risk to the consumer.
This poses a risk of recalls, loss of image and customer dissatisfaction, associated with increased costs.
Regular quality controls of the production water with regard to microbiological contamination can prevent contamination of the end product. For this it is necessary to check the total cell count of all microorganisms and their viability.
Sysmex Partec offers the CyStain™ BacCount Total and CyStain™ BacCount Viable reagents for routine microbiological quality control of your production water. A quantitative analysis of the total amount of bacteria and the determination of their viability is made possible. Supplemented with the CyFlow™ RI-300 Flow Cytometer, the microbiological status of your production water can be routinely controlled quickly, easily and economically efficiently.
Due to the high resolution of the flow cytometer, all existing bacteria (LNA - Low Nucleic Acid bacteria and HNA - High Nucleic Acid bacteria) can be detected. Furthermore, VBNC (Viable But Not Culturable) bacteria are also detected, which cannot be detected with common plating methods.
Contamination can lead to changes in color, odor, or consistency – but classic tests often take days.
Our solutions detect problems early, reduce waiting times, and minimize errors through automated reports.
